Every meaningful movement begins with a conversation.

And the conversations that create lasting change don't end when the session finishes. They continue to evolve, challenge assumptions, deepen understanding, and inspire new ways of thinking and working together.

Throughout Better Together, you'll experience thought-provoking plenary sessions, interactive Learning Labs, and opportunities for genuine dialogue across disciplines, professions, and lived experiences. Together, we'll explore not only what we know, but how we choose to be, with ourselves, with one another, and with the people and communities we serve.

This conference has been intentionally designed as more than a place to exchange ideas. It is a space to think together.

As conversations unfold, participants will collectively shape the inaugural Formation of Consciousness for Human-Centered Professionals guide—a practical resource that captures the themes, questions, insights and emerging principles generated throughout the conference. Rather than being written for the community, it will be created with the community.

When you join Better Together, you're not simply attending an event.

You're becoming part of a collective conversation. A growing community committed to advancing human-centred care through greater awareness, deeper connection and conscious collaboration.

Because the most enduring ideas are rarely created in isolation. They're formed when people come together, better together.

You're helping shape a shared vision that will continue to inform and inspire human-centered care long after the conference concludes.

Our Journey Together

Awareness - Noticing - Being

Meaningful transformation begins with awareness.

Together we'll explore the foundations of conscious practice by increasing awareness of ourselves, our assumptions, and the systems in which we work. Through reflection and dialogue, we'll begin building a shared understanding of what consciousness means within human-centered connection.

Plenary Speaker | Meaningful Transformation Begins with Awareness

Billie Frances, NBC-HWC, LMFT, BCC, CWP Founder | Guiding Mindful Change

Presence, attunement, and self-awareness shape every human-centered conversation.

Becoming more present deepens our ability to be fully with clients in the moment - to trust our instincts, read the room more accurately and respond with greater precision and confidence.

Together we'll explore the foundations of conscious practice by increasing awareness of ourselves, our assumptions, and the systems in which we work. Through reflection and dialogue, we'll begin building a shared understanding of what consciousness means within human-centered care and how to navigate transformation with compassion, discernment, ethical care, and humanity.

Following a brief opening, the plenary speaker will be held from 9:45 AM - 10:30 AM PST.

What we notice influences how we respond.

We'll strengthen our ability to recognize patterns, perspectives, opportunities, and needs—in ourselves, in others, and within the systems we influence. Together, we'll explore how intentional noticing supports collaboration, discernment, compassionate practice, and meaningful change.

Plenary Speaker | What We Notice Shapes What We Create: Widening Our Lens in Human-Centered Care

Melanie Prasad-Dehaney, EdD, NBC-HWC Organizational Effectiveness and Wellbeing Coach & Consultant | Design It...LIVE IT!!!

What we notice shapes what we create.

Every interaction, decision, and relationship is influenced by where we place our attention - and by what we overlook. In this interactive session, we will explore how widening our lens can deepen our understanding of ourselves, strengthen our connections with others, and reveal patterns and possibilities within the systems in which we work. Together, we will discover how intentional noticing can foster greater compassion, enhance collaboration, and create meaningful change in human-centered care.

Following a brief opening, the plenary speaker will be held from 9:45 AM - 10:30 AM PST.

Day 2 Workshop: Noticing

Creating Connection Across Difference

An intentional dialogue exploring how we notice ourselves, others, and the world around us to cultivate curiosity, connection, and collaboration - building communities where different perspectives can coexist, contribute, and create meaningful change together.

The workshop portion of the conference will run from 10:45 AM - 12:30 PM PST, including an interactive panel conversation, collaborative breakout groups, and large group discussion.

How we choose to be shapes what becomes possible.

Our final day explores the qualities of presence that enable trust, resilience, authentic connection, and optimal functioning. Together, we'll consider how intentional ways of being strengthen our relationships, our practice, and our collective ability to create healthier people, communities, and systems.

Plenary Speaker | The Capacity to Be

Heather Haslem, MS, PCC, NBC-HWC, CWP Organizational Wellbeing Leader | Haslem Consulting Practice, LLC

In helping professions, we often focus on developing knowledge and skills. Yet the quality of our work is also shaped by something less tangible: our capacity to remain connected to ourselves and others, especially in moments of suffering, uncertainty, and change.

This session explores how authenticity, self-awareness, and emotional capacity influence the spaces we create and the relationships we build. Together, we'll reflect on how growing our inner capacity allows us to care more intentionally, lead more authentically, and contribute to cultures where people can thrive.

Following a brief opening, the plenary speaker will be held from 9:45 AM - 10:30 AM PST.

Day 3 Workshop | Being

The Space We Create Together

Supporting ourselves and others through change begins with how we choose to be. In this interactive panel, we will explore how our presence, self-awareness, and ways of being shape connection and create the conditions for safety, well-being, growth, and transformation.

The workshop portion of the conference will run from 10:45 AM - 12:30 PM PST, including an interactive panel conversation, collaborative breakout groups, and large group discussion.
